Climber Sean “Stanley” Leary Dies in a BASE Jumping Accident Near Zion National Park

Big wall climber, big wall speed ascensionist, and BASE jumper Sean “Stanley” Leary died in a BASE jumping accident near Utah’s Zion National Park on March 13. Further details about the circumstances surrounding his death (i.e., the events that led to his death) seem to be unknown.
Deaths are not uncommon in either the climbing or BASE jumping worlds, but that doesn’t make hearing about them any easier. Thoughts and condolences to Sean’s friends and loved ones.
