Unter Bremse, auch , versteht man eine Rfccklaufsperre, die venidrhert, dass Seil ausgegeben wird.Eingesetzt werden diese in , genauer gesagt im Basisflaschenzug.Dieser kann z. B. ein 5:1 oder 9:1 Flaschenzug sein .Demnach ist die , die die Bremse halten muss nur noch 1:5 bzw. 1:9 oder Kraft die auf den wirkt. In einem 5:1 Basisflaschenzug mit dem eine Vorspannung von einer Tonne (10kN) aufgebracht wird, mfcsste die Bremse nun eine Gegenkraft von 200Kg (2kN) aufbringen um das Seil am durchrutschen zu hindern. (Dieser Wert ist nicht realistisch, da durch Reibung in den Rollen die Last auf die Bremse geringer ausfe4llt, Gegenkraft Bremse < 200kg).Inzwischen gibt es eine grodfe Anzahl an Seilbremsen, welche in Verwendung finden.Man kann nicht pauschal sagen welche Bremse ffcr welche Le4nge bei welchem Basisflaschenzug geeignet ist, da jeder Slackliner mit einer anderen Vorspannung spannt.Trotz allem kann man eine Reihenfolge aufstellen, die angibt welche Bremse ffcr hf6here Vorspannungen geeigneter ist. Black Diamond ATC < Trango Cinch < < , , CT Sparrow < CMC MPDDie zurzeit beste, erhe4ltliche Bremse ist das CMC MPD welche ihren Einsatz schon in knapp 500m langen Longlines gefunden hat.
