The 10 Commandments of Training for Rock Climbing

I like to read old climbing books. Performance Rock Climbing by Dale Goddard and Udo Neumann lists “The Ten Commandments of Physical Training,” and I thought they were great and worth sharing here:
- Warm up and cool down
- Vary your climbing and training
- Personalize your training
- Train specifically
- Increase your volume appropriately
- Don’t expect shortcuts
- Take time off
- Develop a recovery instinct
- Stay motivated
- Stay healthy
A good question to ask yourself is how many of these you do on a regular basis.
