Rock Climbing St. Louis: Gym Guide 2024

Last Updated on: 23rd January 2024, 01:37 pm

There’s plenty of great outdoor climbing across the Mid-west. And like anywhere with great climbing nearby, the major cities tend to have a thriving gym scene for folks to train, learn, and continue their climbing journeys. Rock climbing in St. Louis is no exception.

Compared to places like Boston or Dallas, the climbing gym scene is relatively small. The mega gym chains have yet to set up shop there, and one local outfits rule the city. In my experience, these type of gyms have a scrappy sort of charm to them and tend to breed passionate climbers stoked to take their skills outdoors.

So if you’re a climber of any level and find yourself in St. Louis, rest easy knowing there are tons of gyms out there for you to select. And we have the beta you need to find the one for you.

Two locations gives St. Louis rock climbers a little more variety on the location front — both gyms have virtually the same offering with slightly different routes and terrain at each one.
